Selected to Paint a piano for the musical activist organization, "Sing for Hope". The piano was publicly located in Columbus Park, NYC for a month, and even shown on NBC's show, " The Voice".
Back of the Sing for Hope piano
A self portrait. I am outward about expressing my feelings, and have control over them. Charcoal, Colored Pencil. 18 X 24.
This piece shows two opposing, yet colliding worlds, man made and natural, with a focus on sea life. I combined jellyfish with a lamp as they both create light. The phone is connected to a seashell, because both are associated with sound, and voice. As a fantasy, this could be an inspiration for a reverse organic recycling project in which animal remains are reused by humans. waterColor/Pencil. 18 X 24.
A mixed media self portrait. The piece questions the idea of physical and virtual boundaries. Is my self image the true me? Or is it distorted by my imagination? Am I defined by my surroundings?
This piece was inspired by David Hockney's photographic collage, "Merced River, Yosemite Valley" (Sept. 1982). My piece explores the dual nature of body parts - as interconnected elements which also function independently.
