Two GIF variations I created as a home test for Tiny Bop ( For a project that cannot be disclosed). The goal was quick and snappy —— I was provided with a rough storyboard, but had the freedom to explore different routes. I made sure to sketch out some ideas of how the animation could break down before I jumped in ( Thinking about how the color blobs could be rigged, how various pieces could enter/exit, etc….)
Slides/Diagrams I Illustrated for an NYU Steinhardt Early Childhood Educational Professor, Carolyn Strom. Some of these concepts are her own ideas, others were me re-illustrating older diagrams that are well known in the industry. I suggested the idea of using notebook paper/crumpled textures to match the educational theme, and found 2 fonts ( One looking more like whiteboard font, another like chalk writing) to match the organic yet clean look of the slides.
Business Card re-design for a Pianist/Music Manager. I wanted to sneak in elements of music, and still have an illustrative aspect to the card.
Various tests for Dig In ( Podcast) social media promos ( Aka, bumper images to be used on Instagram/Spotify/Apple Podcasts for new episode releases. In the first round, we brainstormed the possibility of illustrating each guest as promo, using handwritten font, or using a different item/object from the Dig In Logo.
In Round 2, we started streamlining a bit to be scalable. In the final round, you can see several podcast images to see the result across the border. We were able to keep a clean look, yet stay on brand by going all out with the pink filter, and hand illustrated marks coming from the side of each image.
Mock up Rookie Card (hometest) image I did for the Phillies as a possible social media post (For Instagram/Snapchat). All photography is property of the Phillies.
Le Moyne College asked me to do a simple animated end card for their annual video Christmas Card. The only prompt was to include the current provost ( Linda M. LeMura), and the school's mascot ( A dolphin).

Design assets for Music/Tech journalist, Cherie Hu. Cherie wanted some visuals for her weekly newsletter, “Water and Music”, which will also become a podcast. First, I helped design a logo, which helped shape the vision for her Patreon bumper/Itunes icon. We decided to go for something bold and vivid, but also organic— We felt that hand lettering worked well with the message she was trying to convey.
I designed a book cover for Devon Sqaure Press—- A newly founded company created by Tim Hays, of Hays Media ( www.haysmedia.net). The client was for Stephen Flatow, author of “ A Father’s Story: My Fight for Justice against Iranian Terror”. I also did the layout of the book in InDesign, creating Paragraph/Chapter Styles, and designed a simple logo for Devon Square Press.
Zachary Woods reached out to me to design a fun, Illustrated logo for his up and coming food podcast, "Dig In" ( Coming in Spring 2018). We initially discussed having the logo be the outside of a restaurant, with the text "Dig In" incorporated in some way, but ended up deciding to go for a more flat look that would give both the Illustrations & text a chance to shine equally.
Mock up Billboard I created for the Philadelphia Phillies as part of their Digital Design Hometest. All photography belongs to the Phillies.
Mock up game card I created for the Philadelphia Phillies as part of their Digital Design Hometest. All photography belongs to the Phillies.
Simple little mock up GIF I made ( Note: I didn’t actually make this for Cartoon Network/I don’t own this design!)
To make this, I recreated the old late 90s/early 2000s Cartoon Network Logo I grew up with by using Illustrator to re-create individual vector letters, and then later animated in After Effects.
Re-design of New York Pathological Society’s Logo. A different design agency originally did a re-design of the logo, but the client didn’t like the illustration of founder/came to me to fix that up.
Various touch ups for Photography ( Mostly, lots of clone tool on Photoshop!) Note: I do not own the first photograph, I am simply responsible for retouching.
I’m currently taking Motion Design School’s “Motion Beast” Online Course (Fall 2019). Although I have basic After Effects knowledge, I’m looking to continue to build my Motion Graphics skills to become a stronger digital artist. This gallery will be updated as I drop in more assignments/tests from my course.
